1. Introductions:

2. Previous Minutes:

October minutes approved as read

3. Treasurer's Report:

The current balance is $2987.42.

4. Name that interest group contest:

Six entries were submitted. It was decided that keeping the CCLI name or acronym might present a problem for CCLI-North, which has voted not to affiliate with CARL at this time. Judith Downie's suggestion, California Academic Instruction Librarians was modified by Chad Kahl to Southern California Instruction Librarians, or sCIL.

5. Open House Planning:.

Brochures from previous Open House programs were circulated. It was decided that a previous format, which included 3-4 sessions each presented several times, was desireable. Four session ideas were selected: a presentation of the UCLA Instructional Competencies Project coordinated by J. Herschman (UCLA); a panel of attendees at Immersion 2000 coordinated by D. Moore (California Lutheran); a session on pedagogical innovations driven by wireless technologies coordinated by C. Kahl (CSU-LA); and a session on successful active learning strategies, with a call sent out by S.McDaniel (USC) and moderated by A.Wallace (Claremont). The Open House will be held at UCLA on January 5.

6. Other business
