Excellent Adventure 2014
Tour of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena
July 24, 2014 9:30 a.m. - early afternoon
Co-sponsored by SEAL-S and SCIL (All members of SEAL-S and SCIL are welcome to attend.)
Join us on the 45th anniversary of the return to Earth from the first moon landing for a space-y Excellent Adventure in Pasadena! We'll be visiting the JPL library, the interactive museum, the flight ops control room, the Curiosity Rover, and (weather permitting) the Mars Yard (the rover test area)!
Lunch after the tour is yet to be determined. One option is to dine at the JPL cafeteria (the food is pretty good) and compare to the Big Bang Theory set. Another option is to venture into Pasadena.
Cost: The tour is free! (The only cost will be your lunch.)
Because JPL is a government facility, this tour is limited to 20 people and you must be a US citizen. Anyone else that registers after the first 20 slots are filled will be placed on a waiting list.
Register by Monday, July 7 at 5 pm (but limited to the first 20 registrants). Send your full name (inlcuding your middle name), phone number, and confirm U.S. Citizenship to Trish Stumpf Garcia at: firstname.lastname@example.org
