Part-Time Online Librarian
For a non-profit online graduate university specializing in
Information Security
The University of Fairfax is a non-profit, 100% online graduate institution awarding master’s degrees, doctoral degrees, and graduate certificates in Information Security. The University seeks a part-time online librarian to start immediately.
The part-time online librarian will provide reference assistance to students conducting secondary research relevant to course projects and dissertations. The part-time online librarian will also provide guidance in identifying community resources for secondary research that students can access throughout their professional careers. In addition, the part-time online librarian will assist the University in assessing and improving its online research resources for its students.
Qualified candidates must be comfortable working in an online environment, familiar with a variety of online research databases, and well versed in search methods such as Boolean searches. The part-time librarian must also be readily accessible to adult learners via email and live chat sessions scheduled by appointment.
Familiarity with the eCollege learning platform is preferred but not required.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
