Systems Librarian, Menlo College
Menlo College seeks qualified candidates for the position of Systems Librarian. Reporting to the Dean of Library Services, the Systems Librarian is responsible for maintaining and supporting the integrated library system, developing and administering the Library’s web site, providing technology training for library staff, managing online resources, and supporting the Library’s hardware and software.This is a full-time, permanent position with faculty rank — one of three new positions designed to improve the Library’s capabilities in the areas of systems, technical services, and access services. The Systems Librarian will be expected to participate in the Library’s reference/instruction program, and to serve as a subject liaison in one or more areas. The work schedule allows considerable flexibility, although some evening and weekend hours may be required.
Required qualifications include an ALA-accredited MLS or equivalent, and three or more years of relevant experience. Experience with INNOPAC/Millennium is strongly preferred, as is an understanding of the small-college environment.
