Dean of the University Library
California State Polytechnic University, Pomona invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the University Library.
The University seeks a dynamic, learning-centered, consensus-builder with excellent interpersonal skills to articulate a vision for the Library’s future; enhance the Library’s role in supporting the university’s teaching, learning, and research missions; guide the Library through strategic planning and assessment cycles; foster the evolution of the Library’s Information Commons to further blend existing library resources with emerging technologies; work effectively with faculty, administrators, and staff to support the academic development of students into life-long learners; and lead library fundraising, community relations, and communication efforts.
The position is open until filled. First consideration will be given to completed application packages received no later than May 7, 2009.
