Academic Solo Librarian (Irvine, CA)
Library Associates Companies (LAC) seeks an experienced Academic Solo Librarian for a full-time, temporary position at a small academic library located in Irvine, CA. This position will be working full-time, 40 hours per week and is expected to begin the beginning of March and continue for approximately 2-3 months. Candidates must have previous experience working in reference and inter-library loan, preferably in an academic setting.
Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in Library or Information Science (MLS/MLIS) strongly preferred or equivalent experience;
• Previous experience working in an academic library is preferred;
• Excellent reference and research skills using a variety of databases;
• Previous experience in inter-library loan (ILL);
• Ability to multi-task and interact with all types of personnel in a professional manner;
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills are required;
