Our client, a leading premier measurement company that advances electronics, communications, life sciences and chemical analysis is looking for an IT expert to assist with their online Library. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the design, implementation and managing a broad range of information technology-based systems and services for the global library department . This role is also responsible for maintaining the department’s intranet presence. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping to shape a 21st century corporate digital library for this client.
Other responsibilities may include the ongoing maintenance of library servers and related technology to ensure 24/7 accessibility, functionality and stability for a global employee base. Routinely monitor overall performance and security of library systems.

Requirements:
You must have implemented recent web-based applications using LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, Perl/PHP) based solutions. Will maintain and extend existing library applications as needed by library staff and end users
MLS in Library Science is required, as is experience in systems librarianship and a strong curiosity for identifying and implementing cutting-edge software in the corporate environment.
Ability to work within a Linux command shell environment.
Knowledge of Wikipedia and MediaWiki syntax is a must.
An understanding of the MediaWiki backend system and configuration scripts, databases tables and extensions is required.
Must have 3 years of consecutive IT experience supporting library systems (academic or research).
