POSITION: Reference Librarian/Bibliographer

SALARY: $38,000+
POSITION DESCRIPTION: This is an opportunity to join a dynamic, service-minded, collegial, organization where librarians gain experience in many areas of the profession. The librarian provides business and general reference and research assistance and serves as liaison to business-related departments and the Federal Documents Program. The position also participates in library user education and collection development. Grant writing and participation on library and University committees are encouraged. Tuition benefits in pursuit of advanced degrees are available for UND staff, allowing the opportunity to pursue an accredited MBA or other advanced degree.
This position reports to the Head of Reference & Research Services and the Head of Collection Development.
QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Graduate library degree from an American Library Association accredited program; Preferred: Relevant academic or research library experience, degree in a business-related field, experience or interest in government publications, knowledge of electronic and traditional information resources, knowledge of library user education, knowledge of collection development principles, demonstrated strong public service orientation to work well with faculty, staff and students. The schedule includes some scheduled evening, weekend and holiday hours.
