Legal Research Librarian

Lewis, Brisbois, Bisgaard & Smith is currently seeking a Research Librarian with a minimum of 4 years experience in a legal environment. To be considered for the Research Librarian role, candidates must be proficient in Westlaw, LexisNexis, WordPerfect, MS Word, MS Excel and have the ability to quickly adapt to new software and research methods/resources as needed. The Research Librarian will be performing research using print and online legal resources and will be expected to retrieve information/documentation directly from various state and federal courts and other governmental agencies. This position requires a great deal of flexibility and excellent internal customer service skills. Communication is also a key factor in this role, as the candidate will be communicating with attorneys and staff of all levels as well as the courts. MLS degree is preferred but can be substituted with appropriate work experience. Bachelor’s Degree is required.

This position is currently housed in the headquarters office located in Downtown Los Angeles. However, the firm is also willing to house the position in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, San Diego, Phoenix or any of its other locations in the USA.
