ELECTRONIC RESOURCES MANAGER
The Saint Albert Hall Library

The Saint Albert Library at Saint Mary’s College invites applications for a part time eleven (11 month, August through June) Electronic Resources Manager. Reporting to the Head, Collection Development & Periodicals, the Electronic Resources Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining the Library’s electronic resource collection encompassing over 100 library subscription databases, a federated search service, and an Open URL linking service. The Electronic Resources Manager works closely with the Saint Mary’s campus community to facilitate access to essential electronic resources to conduct scholarly research.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year working with library electronic resources, databases, catalogs, and/or periodicals in higher education or similar settings.
• library LMTA certificate or participant in current MLS program highly desirable; budget management experience a plus
• written and oral communication skills, including approachability to enhance vendor relationships, create publicity, and participate in departmental, cross-departmental, library, and campus groups
• demonstrated excellence in using Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), e-mail and internet usage; demonstrated experience with data base management
• ability to manage $300,000 budget. Problem solving skills and interest in troubleshooting technological problems.
• ability to work cooperatively and effectively with all members of a culturally diverse campus community; ability to cultivate and maintain partnerships with diverse individuals, offices and programs. Ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments, remain calm under pressure, establish priorities and work in an organized manner with emphasis on detail, timeliness and accuracy. Ability to work independently on assignments that are varied and complex and seek consultation when necessary.
