Part-Time Temporary Reference Librarian

Part-Time Temporary Reference Librarians: University of the Pacific Library seeks 2 proactive, enthusiastic reference librarians to provide reference services for students, faculty, and staff via in person, chat, email, and telephone. Other duties may include: developing resource guides; library instruction; collection development; monitoring Library’s website; cataloging, depending on experience. Starting salary range: $22-$25/hr, DOE.
Required: MLIS or equivalent degree from an ALA-accredited library school, availability to work weekdays, evenings and weekends up to 20 hours/week, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and willingness to work in a team environment. Desired: Science or technology background; experience providing reference and instruction services and materials in an academic environment. Familiarity with various databases, library resources, and course management systems, especially SAKAI.
