POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Web Designer, reporting to the Director of Library Information Technology, is primarily responsible for the design, production, implementation, assessment, and management of the Library’s web presence. The incumbent will collaborate closely with library systems and programming experts to provide integrated and highly usable standard and mobile interfaces across many platforms. The Web Designer serves as a project manager, coordinating with team members and end-users to identify and document project objectives, technical requirements, content needs, and milestones. The core functions for the Information Technology Consultant are: user consultation; site administration; and development. Other functions for this position include technical project management, art direction and consultation to ensure consistent graphic standards for Library communications, and student administration.
