The University of California, Irvine Libraries seek a knowledgeable, energetic, and enthusiastic librarian to join the Cataloging & Metadata Services Department as the Digital Resources and Serials Cataloging/Metadata Librarian to provide leadership and expertise for original and complex contributed cataloging and metadata maintenance associated with serials and electronic resources. The incumbent will manage the Serials, E-Resources and Digital Metadata Unit and supervise staff responsible for cataloging serials, electronic resources, government documents, and CJK and other Southeast Asian language material. It is envisioned that this position will also take a lead role in the Department’s increased participation in digital projects, providing expertise in non-MARC metadata for digital collections.
