Dudley Knox Library (http://library.nps.edu) at the Naval Postgraduate School* (Monterey, CA), is recruiting for two new library team members in areas of Library Systems/Applications and Reference.
Library Systems/Applications Technical Information Specialist (US federal government job series 1412), reporting directly to the Library Systems Manager, works collaboratively as a member of the library systems team, with campus information technology and information security programs and library staff to design develop, implement and support library systems, electronic content and web-based services at the Dudley Knox Library. Candidate must demonstrate knowledge and experience working with computer systems, web technologies, programming, database principles and digital publishing. Candidate must demonstrate ability to install, configure and troubleshoot networked library specific hardware and software applications
Reference Librarian (US federal government job series 1410), reporting directly to the Outreach and Academic Support Manager, works collaboratively as a member of the library research team, to respond to research questions in highly complex technical areas; provide instruction on the use of library resources and effective searching methods. Help evaluate the collection and recommend new resources in support of current teaching and research needs. Candidate must demonstrate knowledge and experience working with academic library collections and resources, strong research skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
