The Meriam Library is seeking an Undergraduate Experience/User Engagement Librarian to make a significant contribution to the library and to the teaching and learning environment at CSU, Chico. The Undergraduate Engagement Librarian will coordinate the first year instruction program and provide information literacy instruction to undergraduate students in a variety of disciplines. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and be excited about providing instruction to lower-division undergraduates.

This position will develop and coordinate library initiatives aimed at improving new student academic success at the university and will collaborate with other campus academic and student services units. This position will investigate, recommend, and develop library programs related to student engagement, academic engagement and orientation for undergraduate students, with an emphasis on the information literacy skill-building of beginning, continuing, and transfer students. This assignment will include reference service and collection or liaison duties in a designated subject area.

The Meriam Library supports a comprehensive university curriculum at the Master’s degree level and emphasizes active engagement and outreach with faculty and students. The Library is a unit of Academic Affairs. Further information about the Meriam Library is available on our website
