Position Title: Branch Manager Librarian

Description of Responsibilities: The Branch Manager Librarian will be responsible to lead and supervise the David D. Palmer Health Sciences Library at the branch campus located in San Jose, CA. This includes services, programs, support staff, access, collection management, instruction, research and special services.  The individual in this position will also manage projects; oversee policies and procedures; identify, implement, and evaluate current emerging technologies, virtual reference services and instruction; engage in formal and informal curricular and co-curricular instruction associated with Library programs and services.

Position Qualifications Required: Masters in Library Science from an ALA accredited university program or in a subject field closely related to the requirements of the position; three years of experience in professional library work, background in health sciences desired. Strong supervisory or management skills highly desired.  Demonstrated interest in promoting collaboration, outreach initiatives, and use of technology to improve access.
