Position Title: Head of Access Services
Manages the UC Merced Library’s Access Services Unit, including direct customer services and interlibrary services. Investigates and evaluates current and changing trends in Access Services, applies acquired knowledge and expertise to improve workflows and services. The Access Services Librarian recommends policies and practices that improve and enhance a sustainable customer service model for the Library. Diplomatically responds to library user concerns, complaints, and suggestions. Strives to ensure the highest quality customer services standards by leading and assessing the performance of career staff and student employees.
