Transforming Knowledge/Transforming Libraries Project Coordinator Librarian

The University of California, Irvine Libraries seeks a creative, energetic professional for the position of Project Coordinator Librarian in the Department of Special Collections & Archives. The position is embedded in the UCI Libraries’ Transforming Knowledge/Transforming Libraries Project which will integrate library and archival studies into the ethnic studies curriculum.  The position will guide and mentor undergraduate students who are committed to documenting the experiences of ethnic and underrepresented communities of Orange County, California. The students will gain first-hand experience in building and providing access to the nation’s digital cultural heritage. This full-time, temporary position will be available July 1, 2017 and will end in June 2020.

Appointment is anticipated to be at the ­­­Assistant Librarian rank with a salary of $48,438 – $59,943.
