Temporary, part-time librarians, Sonoma State

The Sonoma State University Library is building a pool of candidates for possible temporary, part-time appointments. Temporary faculty appointments might include work in research services, instruction, archives and special collections, or collections and technical services. Appointments are by semester and may include evening and/or weekend hours. We welcome applicants with a desire to gain experience in an academic library and who are committed to working in a diverse campus community. A master’s degree in library/information science from an ALA-accredited school is required at the time of appointment.

The University Library’s leading value is “We are passionate about student learning.” The library faculty actively seeks solutions to help users access, evaluate, and create content, and become informed, engaged, global citizens and lifelong learners. The Library is a respected leader in campus initiatives and service work, and is actively engaged with faculty in campus curricular efforts. SSU Librarians provide transformational leadership in realizing the Liberal Arts and Sciences mission of the University and supporting the University President’s priorities of student success, on-time graduation, and diversity.
