As the center of campus intellectual discovery, the Sacramento State University Library promotes teaching, learning, research, and scholarly communication at the University by integrating the Library with campus student success programs and instruction. We seek an energetic, innovative, and collaborative librarian to provide research assistance, instruction, collection development, and outreach services for Chemistry, Biochemistry, Geology, Mathematics and Statistics. This position shares liaison responsibilities with other Science librarians for Public Health. Under the general direction of the Head of the Research & Instruction Department and working closely with teaching faculty in assigned areas, the Physical Sciences Librarian develops and delivers strategically and pedagogically appropriate library instruction to students and works with teaching faculty to implement information literacy initiatives. The schedule includes some evening and weekend assignments.
