Reference & Instruction Librarian, Cal Poly Pomona

The University Library at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona is seeking a flexible, energetic, and knowledgeable reference and instruction librarian to join a team committed to student success.

Under the guidance of the Head Librarian for Reference Services and in collaboration with the Instruction Coordinator and Collection Management Coordinator, this librarian provides research consultation and instructional services to students, faculty, and staff for assigned subjects, works on projects that develop and improve library services and collections, and participates in academic governance by serving on library and university committees.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to meeting the information needs of the university community; a strong public service orientation; an ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines; an ability to conduct scholarly, research, and creative activities; a willingness to take initiative in devising innovative and creative solutions; and effective communication skills in order to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students in a culturally diverse and rapidly evolving academic environment.
