The Librarian plays a critical role in creating and maintaining a 21st Century learning environment that encourages and inspires academic research, literacy, and contemporary technologies and methodologies in order to support the school curricula and to form Servite students for collegiate studies. The Librarian will model and demonstrate these skills for the entire campus. The Librarian is responsible for the daily operations, upkeep, and advancement of the library. He/she will also provide instructional technology mentoring, support and professional development to all classroom teachers.
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University. Degree preferred in Library Science/Information, Educational Technology, or other related degree.Proficiency in the use of information technology resources (e.g. library automation, internet access, electronic resources). At least two years experience working in an educational environment.
