Curator of University Archives

Loyola Marymount University seeks an enthusiastic and experienced librarian for the position of Curator of University Archives at the William H. Hannon Library.

The Curator of University Archives will be responsible for building, preserving and making available the Loyola Marymount University archives. Responsibilities include appraising collections through formulated selection practices and supervising the transfer of selected records of enduring scholarly value to the university archives for permanent retention, providing access to collections through proper arrangement, description, and processing, and assisting university departments with developing collections transfer guidelines within their records management plans. The Curator of University Archives will participate in the department’s public services programs providing reference services, class lectures and tours, and curatorship of gallery exhibitions. The Curator of University Archives reports to the Head of Archives and Special Collections.
